Latest version of the popular product builder CD released. - 07/10/2009
First released in 2000 the Videx Product builder has transformed the way in which designers, specifiers and installers approach the design of door entry and access control products.
Since its first release, the Product Builder CD has been continually improved, with ease of operation being one of the main areas of attention in its continued development.
The latest version (7) has been enhanced even further and contains all the latest kits, 4000 series, VR4K, GSM, VX2300 (two wire video) and the VX2200 with its expanded capabilities. In addition to the full VIDEX product range, the CD also contains all installation manuals, datasheets and product literature.
In the kit section the user can not only identify a specific product but can also expand the chosen system with addition of doors, telephones or video handsets, and then view or print a complete parts list, the user can also view or print the required installation manual.
Where a system is being designed from a singe door to a multiple door installation, the layout and sizes of all door panels audio, video and functional can be displayed, with engraving to buttons and user instructions added. Modular panels can be rearranged on the screen to allow unlimited combinations and layouts. A full parts list of all components will be produced including prices, these can be adjusted by the user, to show discounts and mark ups. When complete the CD will if required produce a block diagram of the complete system, identifying cable size and number of cores to each component.

New product picture preview window with CLICK TO ENLARGE feature. Automatically changes the picture as the system is built. VR4K modular range added VR4K modular panel preview option with facility to add engraving and rearrange the modules to the user's choice. Block diagram feature. This will automatically create a block diagram of the system and will save it as a PDF Document. The block diagram will clearly show the number of cores required to the telephone / videophone, riser cables and the door panels. Additionally, the block diagram will show a representation of the actual door panels built and the type of apartment unit chosen.

Build audio and video systems with up to 998 apartments Build 2 level systems with main entrances and block entrances, with up to 10 main entrances, 6 blocks each with up to 4 entrances. Choose between VR digital, 4000 series digital, 4000 series functional, VR4K functional or standard VR functional door panels. Preview any panel type (with dimensions shown). On VR panels add engraving details and rearrange the layouts of 4000 series modules to user's choice. Block diagrams based on the system built showing number of cores to handsets, risers and door panels and save as a PDF. Addition of Eclipse audio and video with colour finishes and flush VR audio and video Eclipse. Picture preview added which will automatically update as the system is built, with 'click on the picture' to enlarge/print.
