NEW DIGITAL DISABILITY FRIENDLY DOOR ENTRY PANEL - 21/12/2005
The latest addition to Videx Security's range of special needs door entry equipment for the visually impaired is the new vandal resistant digital door entry panel for its VX2200 system. Its installation will assist organisations in complying with the Disability Discrimination Act.
A key feature of the new panel is a large back-lit, sixteen character visitor information LCD display which includes large 9 mm high characters. The large stainless steel push buttons feature relief engraved numbers and a highly visible yellow halo. Also to assist the visually impaired, voice communication verifies each stage of a call verbally.
All stainless steel push buttons are IP 66 rated and the panel itself is made from tough twelve gauge stainless steel. It is secured to the galvanised flush back plate with a stainless steel bezel with MS fixing screws.
The versatility of the new panel means it has the facility to call up to 180 apartments connected to a common two wire bus. Over 250 unique access codes can be accepted by the panel.
